Whiskers are showing...

On my daily walk, I pass by these lovely rose bushes and always think I would like to photograph them. I seem to forget that idea as soon as I get home and back into my routine, but yesterday I was in the car as I passed them and realized I had my camera with me.

These shots were taken in manual mode and I'm very happy with them. I didn't edit at all and I like the muted, darker look of the photos.

I think I'm going to try and shoot in manual from now on as it forces me to "think" through what I'm trying to achieve. I think I'll get better at photography in the process. We'll see...

Linking with Little Red House for Mosaic Monday.

They are great shots. You are right that you will get better using manual mode. I use it most of the time, the rest being Aperture mode.

Lovely roses - and I'll bet they have a beautiful perfume too.
